It’s not a surprise that which foods we eat and how much we eat affects whether we have a hot 6 pack or a beer gut. However, many people don’t know that the time you eat and the number of times a day you eat matter a lot too. If you’re going to succeed in getting fit, you need to listen up. This is one of the secrets of getting the body you want.
What time you eat has a major effect on your results. Let’s start from the very beginning. When you wake up in the morning, your body hasn’t had any food for many hours. Your blood sugar level first thing in the morning is low, and you are running on reserves. Once those reserves are used up, your body will turn to its next available source of fuel, your muscles! It’s real tough to work out hard and focus on getting fit when you’re weak from lack of food, and your body is cannibalizing the muscles for energy. You really should eat something nutritious as soon as possible after waking up. This gets your body fueled up and preserves your muscles.
So now you know how important it is to eat as soon as possible after you get up. Doing so gets your blood sugar to the correct level (assuming you are eating healthy stuff) so you can function well and preserves your hard-earned muscles. You’ll feel better, function better, be able to work out harder, and protect your muscles while shedding fat.
Focusing on your blood sugar level tells you more than when you should eat. Your body takes 3 to 4 hours to digest a meal. Once it does, your blood sugar level begins to decline. That’s why, even if you ate a healthy nutritious meal, you’ll start to fade a bit several hours later. What this tells us is that (except when you’re sleeping) you should eat something every 3-4 hours. If you don’t, even if you don’t notice the decline, you’ll start getting the same negative effects as you would if you skipped breakfast.

Is milk good for you? Our government says yes, but most scientists who do not work for the dairy industry say no. Why the discrepancy? Let’s look at the research.
Though most people still think that milk is good for their bones, there is no evidence for this. The famous Harvard Nurses Study followed more than 77,000 women for over twelve years. Among other things, researchers wanted to see if milk would help prevent or slow the progression of osteoporosis (a disease that makes bones more brittle). Not only was there no evidence of any benefit, researcher Doctor Robert M. Kradjian of Seton Medical Center in California points out that “Fracture rates were higher for those who consumed three or more servings, compared to those who did not drink milk.”
Some scientists now believe that the particular types of proteins in milk may lead to bone damage. In addition, most agree that the calcium found in dairy products isn′t very absorbable for humans. Calcium found in plants is much easier to absorb. These sources include leafy green vegetables, as well as sesame butter (used in humus), some other seeds, whole grains and nuts.

What Oprah says goes, and when it comes to the Acai Berry Diet that she recently toted on her hit show, the berry is now gone. Not to be alarmed, I mean gone in a positive way. It has gone out to just about every individual in America who saw the show or heard about the show. You do a simple search on line and the only thing you read about is what Oprah spoke about.I want to assure the reader that the facts she laid out there are clear.
First of all, the Acai Berry which had relatively little publicity here in the states, has actually been used for a long time. It is harvested in the Amazon basin so it is only realistic that we were not the first to have found this marvelous berry. Indigenous people to the area have relied on its nutrients to keep them healthy and in shape, although I am not sure they knew that is what it was doing for them. Did these people care about the aging look or the spare tire around the middle? Possibly not because they did not have this issue thanks to the Acai Berry.
Oprah had some perfect points about the Acai Berry Diet. It is what is accepted as a superfood. Not only is it filled with an assortment of antioxidants that the body definitely needs and hardly gets enough of but when you have this type of positive for the inside of the body, of course it is going to do wonders to the outside. The skin soaks up the nutrients as well. This probably goes without saying, but perhaps with this superfood, the effects of good eating will be obvious on the outside at a relatively fast rate.
There are items that were not mentioned on the Oprah show that probably should not be overlooked. Maybe that is all that happened on the show is that there were simple things that were not mentioned, probably due to the lack of time. But there are other superfoods on the market that can offer the type of punch as the Acai berry. There are superfoods that are full of antioxidants, can help speed up your metabolism and help you feel and look better. The trick here is having them taste as nice or be as available as the new Acai Berry Diet seems to be now.

The necessity in today’s world for going on a Colon Cleanse diet cannot be overemphasized! Most of us are so toxic we do not realize it, and we are amazed when we go to have colonic therapy, and in shock when we see what is deposited out of our bodies. Several years ago I went with a friend to the Ann Wigmore foundation, in order for her to try to beat her cancer. One of the steps of the program was that she attended colonic therapy at least once a week. When we would get her on the stretcher, massive amounts of filth would come out of her bowels. The colonic therapist turned and said to me, “No small wonder”, as my friend’s bowels were so impacted with old fecal matter!
Unfortunately, my friend lost her battle with cancer, leaving two children. John Wayne, the great American Cowboy, died of cancer directly related to a dirty colon. During the autopsy, the doctors removed over 40 lbs of fecal matter from his colon, incredible. Even Elvis Presley, the King of Rock and Roll, also had a bowel that contained over 40 pounds worth of old fecal matter trapped there. Do you think he could have used a good colon cleansing?
The fact of the matter is, that more diseases and unhealthy conditions can be attributed to a dirty colon, than almost any other malady we suffer in the modern world! It is imperative therefore that we purge out our bowels. Recent studies have indicated very strongly that the Acai Berry is one of the most effective and powerful foods that we can have within our bodies to cleanse our bowels and keep our colons clean and healthy. Apparently the Acai Berry is so high in anti oxidants as well as fiber, that it has the magic combination for assuring our personal plumbing clean. In addition to this, the Acai Berry is also loaded with minerals, B vitamins, omega 3 fatty acids, and protein.

Benefits Of Vegetarianism
Becoming a vegetarian is an ideal for many people that believe they should convert but don′t fully understand the benefits. So how will it change things in your life and for the planet? It may not make a massive difference when one person decides to do this but each person that makes this choice will have an overall effect. To provide an example of this, you only have to look at how many people in America suffer with heart disease that eat meat regularly.
Many of today’s heart conditions would not be so commonplace if people did not eat so much food with high levels of cholesterol, such as dairy products and eggs. The organization Earth Save has calculated that a vegetarian has only a quarter of the chance of a heart attack as someone who has meat in their diet. Pure vegans have an even lower likelihood of a heart attack with only a 10 percent chance against a meat eater. The improvements in health do not end there if you are a vegetarian.
Meat contains a number of preservatives which have links with cancer, something which is dramatically reduced when you do not eat meat. Animal feed also contains hormones to make them put weight on faster so vegetarians are not usually exposed to these chemicals which most people consume everyday. The consumption of lactose will also be reduced which is claimed to cause some digestive problems. On a more ethical note, you will be surprised how much less suffering in animals you will be responsible for by becoming a vegetarian.
